Biography: One of the greatest ever individual players of all time. Made his debut for Manchester United at the age of seventeen, and played his first game for Ireland before his eighteenth birthday. In 1968 became both British and European footballer of the year. After brief spells With Fulham and Bournemouth, played in America League, before ending his competitive playing days, many believe far too early. Latterly made his living though public and media appearances, both home and abroad. Also toured the country with Rodney Marsh in a popular stage double act. Died on 25th November 2005 in the Cromwell Hospital, London. (Won two League championship medals and a European Cup winners medal.)
