Biography: A Manchester United youth team player who opted not to make his career football, instead played rugby league where he won six championships, seven Challenge Cups, three Premierships, four John Player/Regal Trophies and two Lancashire Cups. He also received the Lance Todd Trophy (1991) and the coveted Man of Steel award in 1995 while playing for Wigan. He joined the Wigan coaching staff before switching codes to work for Gloucester. He left Kingsholm in June 2010.
