Biography: Former England youth international who took up work as a PE Teacher at Brampton Manor School which is just half a mile from Upton Park, also ran The Hammers under 16 side. Died in November 1999 having suffered from kidney cancer.

Bickles, Dave I knew Dave many years ago. I was married to his brother. He was a real nice guy. So sad he passad away.

Bickles, Dave I knew David very well and used to visit him at his home in Gidea Park , where he was always welcoming and signed many West Ham books for me. I saw him make his debut for West Ham at Anfield in 1965 a two victory with goals from Hurst and Peters with Standen saving a penalty from Ronnie Moran. Dave was a real gentleman and is sadly missed.
