Biggs, Tony My father Laurie played cricket with Tony for many years for Boston Ramblers, a touring team originally based at Boston Manor near to where Tony was born in Greenford. I occasionally came in as ‘sub’ as a junior cricketer. Tony was so supportive of me as a junior player and was one of the most gifted ball players I have ever seen. He could hit the ball out of the ground without any effort. It was all timing. So sorry he has passed away.

Biggs, Tony Very sorry to read of the passing of Tony Biggs. I remember him playing for Guildford City in 1960/61 season in which he was very successful. He was a very intelligent free scoring centre forward, particularly dangerous in the air. It was a great pity Guildford could not hold on to him any more than opposing defences ! He moved on to Hereford, and then Folkestone where I believe he played for a good number of years and I had the opportunity of watching him play from time to time. He was one of those players that always stood out in Southern League football and you could see he was a class above that level.

Biggs, Tony Sadly my partner Tony Biggs passed away on 03/03/2021. He had suffered from Alzheimer’s for around 15 years. We lived in Seaford, East Sussex for many years after Tony retired. However moved back to Middlesex once he needed nursing care. He passed away very peacefully in a Nursing home after having been completely bed bound for the last couple of years.
