Biley, Alan I watched Alan as a young lad every week when he played for Cambridge United. Have fantastic memories of the games and excitement they generated. I was then lucky enough to meet him and most of the team one Sunday. Alan and the team came to My father in laws pub (The White Lion in Sawston) for a few beers and a darts and pool session. Happy times. One thing I have always wanted to know is ... How actually did Gordon McQueen foul him when he was playing for Derby v Man Utd ? I watched the game again today on the big match revisited and I still have no idea what happened. Anyone help me out ??

Biley, Alan December 1984, versus Oxford at Fratton Park, 2 goals last minute, never forgotten.

Biley, Alan You can always tell how good a player is from the level of vitriol dished out by the opposition fans. It may also have had something to do with that hairstyle though.

Biley, Alan I was a former apprentice at Luton Town in 1970. Together with another apprentice, Nick Sparks, we used to coach boys from nearby schools. We came across a young, whippet-like kid called Alan Biley and recommended him to Harry Haslam, the then Luton Town chief scout, later to be manager. Biley clearly had some talent. Harry took an interest and passed him onto the charge of, the now infamous, Bob Higgins, whom Harry had coaching and scouting links with at the time. Higgins did some work for Luton regarding youth development before he moved on to Southampton. Biley went on to greater things which we did not foresee at the time. Strange how the footballing Gods work!

Biley, Alan Spent many happy hours down the Harvest Home Pub with Alan when he lived in Denmead. Out in his Toyota Supra, listening to music, he was a lot of fun and a really nice bloke. A great Pompey player.

Biley, Alan Remember Alan scoring a brace on his debut for Everton against Birmingham City in 1981.. We were in need of a hero at that time, and I had great hopes for him.. Sadly, didn't quite happen for him at Goodison Park, but a good value striker at his level in his career.
