Birchenall Mbe, Alan We used to go in The Stone House on a Saturday night and after home games both he and Mick Jones would come in for an occasional beer. In our crowd we had a chap blonde hair blue eyed and 6ft tall nicknamed Mac. We used to ask Mac how many goals he had scored that day. On one occasion he replied he had played a bad game and only scored 3. They could not stand it any longer and came over to ask who he played for and we made up some mythical team. Mac never kicked a ball in his life but with us we made him a super star.
