Biography: Former Aston Villa trainee, joined Pompey in August 1993 for £400,000 as part of the deal that took Guy Whittingham to Villa Park. The tough tackling midfielder only stayed for eight months, before moving back to the Midlands and Leicester City. Retired from the game in 2002 following a serious knee injury.
