Biography: A Latvian International midfielder with 106 caps, signed by Saints in 1999 a compatriot of Marian Pahars. He made only two league appearances in three seasons, he was released in January 2002 to join Viborg where he played regularly scoring 6 goals in 55 appearances. He made 106 international appearances for Latvia scoring 10 goals over a twelve year period (including his time at Southampton)
