Blunstone, Frank Born in Crewe, my first job as a teacher at Spencer Park School in Wandsworth where I met Frank and Mickey Block etc. Very jovial professionals who took time out to inspire schoolboys and, of course, me. Live down South but visit my family in Crewe regularly.

Blunstone, Frank When manager of Brentford, I seem to remember that Frank appeared in a TV advert for cheese. Cheshire I presume?

Blunstone, Frank After his retirement from football due to injury, Frank Bluntstone ran a sports shop selling official Chelsea merchandise just outside Stamford Bridge on Fulham Broadway.

Blunstone, Frank Did Frank Blunstone have anything to do with a sports travel company called Bluntours? I did a few trips as a courier with them on tours to Holland and Belgium in the early seventies. I recall a Police team and a team from Islington called Angel Athletic.

Blunstone, Frank In answer to Brian Lewis, yes Frank did have a sweet shop in Wandsworth Bridge Road and just around the corner was Rosebury Road where us kids played football in the road with Tosh Chaimberlin (Fulham FC). Hard to imagine that happening with today’s prima donnas.

Blunstone, Frank Met Frank Bluestone a few years at Nantwich Town when I was on the committee of Mickleover Sports. Had a great conversation with him about Chelsea 1954/55 championship side ( my Dad was a Chelsea supporter). He had a picture on him of that championship side. I told him I had a similar photo, but it also had the Combination League winners, and the FA Youth Cup winners on it. Talked about players he played with for England also. Great 30 minutes.

Blunstone, Frank Frank and his wife used to run a pub in Chertsey called the Crown, who we used to play football for. I can and will always remember Frank when we did training. His favourite comment was "I COULD HAVE LACED THAT BALL In THE TIME YOU TOOK TO DO THAT". Great man, I'll never forget him. Frank's wife used to put roast potatoes on the bar after we played, great memories.
