Birthplace: Glasgow, Scotland

Position: Outside-right

Biography: Tommy was the partner for another former Celtic player, Jimmy Delaney, on the right wing for Manchester United, but he was never assured of his place having to battle it out with Harry McShane and Cliff Birkett towards the end of his days at the club. Settled in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, after marrying Sir Matt Busby's niece, he was employed in the newspaper industry by the Daily Express and the Manchester Evening News after leaving the game. He died in September 1993, aged 73.
