Biography: An amateur player and part time engineer who went from being Pompey's third choice keeper to Great Britain's reserve goalkeeper at the 1912 Olympic Games! A string of outstanding performances turned the heads of the national selectors but - although he was never capped for England - he did represent Great Britain in the 1912 Olympic Games football tournament in Stockholm. Later worked as a civil engineer on the docks at Nova Scotia, Canada.
