Biography: He will be remembered as a player for scoring six of Oldham Athletics goals in their 7-0 victory over Scarborough in a 1989 League Cup match which is still a record for most goals scored by a player in a single match in the competition.Injury cut short his playing career at just 27 when he was in his prime. He later became a coach at Wigan Athletic before joining Manchester City as reserve coach in 1998. In 2007 he became Coventry Citys first team coach & for a brief time became joint caretaker manager following the sacking of Iain Dowie but then returned to his original position when Chris Coleman was appointed manager. In June 2011 he became Assistant Manager at Rochdale before being sacked along with manager Steve Eyre in December 2011.
