Burrows, Harry Growing up (I am 68 now) and always believing I would play for England at Wembley I loved watching skilful footballers such as Stan Bowles, Matt Le Tissier, Rodney Marsh and especially Harry Burrows. My favourite team was Stoke City and Stanley Matthews was my other hero. A mate once said I should have joined a brass band and maybe my dream of playing at Wembley may have come true!

Burrows, Harry Had the pleasure of watching Harry play many times for Stoke. My favourite goal was against Villa at Villa Park. It was an absolute screamer in a 1-0 win back in 1965. I have met Harry and his lovely wife on occasions, but when me and my brothers (who incidentally are Villa fans) went to see him at the Rising Sun pub in Mow Cop it was a incredible day. Harry was a gentleman, we talked football all afternoon with Harry and his old Villa mate Jiimmy McEwin. We took photos with Harry, his wife mom and daughter that day! Thanks for the great memories

Burrows, Harry Remember playing with you at Haydock Secondary Modern. You were awesome then.
