Biography: Only 5ft 8in tall but deadly in the penalty box, not only as a goalscorer but as a creator of opportunities for others. The Jamaican international and Jamaican Sportsman of the Year in 1997, Burton enjoyed two spells at Fratton Park. The first as an 18 year old finding his feet in the league until a £1 million move took him to Derby County, who were managed by Jim Smith at the time. The second in the early 2000's. Played for Tony Adams at Azerbaijani club Gabala between 2010 and 2012c before returning back to the UK. Burton now runs a football training company called Deon Burton Training Academy.
