Biography: Butt decided to retire at the closure of the 09/10 season and has expressed an interest to move into coaching. This move was backed by his former boss at Newcastle, Chris Hughton.

Bassedas,Christian After leaving Utd. In 2003,Christian retired after a few months,and ran a nightclub and a restauant in Buenos Aires for a while. Limbo,the restaurant,is still part owned by CB,along with 3 other ex argentinian footballers. He worked at Fox Sports for three years,covering English Premier League games on Argentinas version of Sky Sports. In 2008, his old club ,Velez Sarsfield, appointed him as General Manager. He won the Argentinian primera league in his first season,and since then has brought Velez a further two titles,continuous top five positions,and huge success in the Copa Libertadores. He has announced he will finish at Velez at the end of the current season,in December 2014.... Taking a break and maybe go into coaching... Watch this space
