Position: Winger

Biography: Cost the club £9,000 after the war, and proved to be a good investment. Playing anywhere across the front line, he probably saw his best years in the game cut short by the war, but still managed to win the last of his international caps playing for Chelsea in 1950. Served Bristol Rovers as coach, trainer, chief scout (twice) and managed the first team for 15 years. was also manager at Gloucester City and worked for Bristol City Council as a football coach for unemployed men. Now lives in retirement in Almondsbury
