Biography: One of the best goalies of his era and would have won more than his 64 English caps if it had not been for Peter Shilton being around at the same time. Initially joined his last club, Spurs, as goalkeeping coach before taking on the role of Manager at Barnet in 1994. Has been involved with the England set-up since 1996. Was awarded the MBE for his service to the sport. His son Stephen played for Birmingham City and Leicester City while daughter Sarah is married to former Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman. Ray died peacefully at home on 15th November 2020. He was 72 years old and had been unwell for quite some time.
