Position: Full-back

Biography: John Collins was initially with Swansea City but joined Spurs as an apprentice in 1964. Despite undoubted promise, the Welsh Under-23 international only made two appearances before moving to Pompey in a £5,000 deal in 1971. Later played both outdoor and indoor football in the United States but returned to Wales to run pubs and a hotel in Haverfordwest before working at Eddie Rocks’ Social Club, a nearby snooker and social club until his retirement. Died on 14th April 2020, he had suffered with diabetes for some time and had to have both legs amputated prior to his death.
