Biography: The hard tackling full back only made two appearances as deputy for Stewart Houston against Bolton Wanderers in December 1978, and then the game against Liverpool on Boxing Day. He never broke into the first team again despite being a regular for the Central League team and was sold by Ron Atkinson to Glentoran for £37,000. Is now back living in his native Newry.
