Biography: Scottish international (3 caps) was lured to London by Arsenal in a 150,000 transfer from Hibernian in 1974. Retired in 1983 and went on to run a pub in Edinburgh. (Played in League Cup finals on both sides of the Border)

Cropley, Alex Although a few years ago I found out that Alex was a taxi driver in Stranraer when chatting to some locals when I was staying up there waiting for a ferry to go to Ireland

Cropley, Alex I remember Cropley breaking his leg playing for Villa against West Brom in about 1978 The crack was heard all over the stadium. Andy Gray was near the tackle and tried to hit the West Brom player.
