Position: Forward/winger

Biography: A Frank Burrows acquisition after he had impressed as a Brentford player in a match against Pompey. Joined in a straight swap, with Chris Kamara making the move to west London. The form of Alan Rogers meant that Crown spent much of his time on the bench and he eventually moved on to Reading. David qualified as an accountant in 1992 set up his own practice in Essex. While playing for Reading, a local Sunday league team was named DC Steamers in his honour.
