Biography: A 'curly haired hero' for West Ham and Rangers amongst others, the experienced Scottish defender earned 67 caps and played one game for Pompey in 2011, but was then let go. Having hung up his boots the following year, he qualified to coach athletes and became a match summariser for Sky. His voice had previously been aired on TV after an international defeat by Germany, when he was heard accusing the opposition of cheating but the rant was peppered with expletives! Not the most obvious audition for a future career as a pundit!
