Daines, Barry As a young apprentice living in Dagenham, I used to grab a lift with Barry & Micky Flanagan to the ground. Great memories.

Daines, Barry I used to watch Barry playing for Spurs youth team with Glen Hoddle, Graeme Souness, and Ray Clarke. A great youth team, which I think won 5 trophies including league title FA youth Cup. I watched his first team games then we heard he had gone, saying he had joined a club in Hong Kong very strange.

DAINES, Barry In, I believe, the 1977/8 season, I climbed on to the pitch at the old Valley as we played Charlton, from the covered end because fighting between Tottenham and Millwall fans had spread across the terrace behind us. Being 12/13 at the time, I wasn’t about to get involved. Approx 150 fans climbed over, I received a swift telling off and a load of verbal from Barry as he was in goal at the time. Bless him, Karma got him back a few weeks later when he made an horrific mistake against Bristol City! Loved him then, love him now, top man BARRY DAINES
