Davies, Wyn Big fan of NUFC and Wyn is my skill time hero. I watched most of the Fairs Cup games, two of them away from home. Went to a pub in Beamish and he was there with Jimmy Smith and I think Jimmy Scott. I was too nervous to speak to him. Missed opportunity!

Davies, Wyn I am 65 in June and my dad took me to St James Park as a kid. My hero was Wyn Davies, the best centre forward Newcastle ever had. Alan Shearer could not tie his boots. I have Wynn the leap on my screen saver. I am his biggest fan in Newcastle and would love a signed copy of him in A4 size. John Welsh, Toon Army.

Davies, Wyn Our local across the river in Gateshead from Newcastle, Wynn was going out with the landlords daughter, Maureen Hardy. When we won the Fairs Cup a week or so later he brought the cup into the bar,The Durham Ramger and we all got our pictures taken. He is still a legend here. Wynn is king the crowd would chant.

Davies, Wyn When Wyn signed for Bolton he had lodgings in Ainslie Road Bolton. As a very young lad I used to kick a ball with him in the street as I lived 5 doors further down.

Davies, Wyn Usually bump into Wyn in Bolton town centre on a Saturday morning. He's still got that delightful Welsh accent and he's a great guy to chat to.

Davies, Wyn Wyn was one of the greatest players to use the skill of the diving header very really seen today. A fantastic target man.I bet many centre halfs would have a story about playing against Wyn.

Davies, Wyn I meet Wyn every day on Queens Park Bolton. Great bloke, we feed the squirrels and all the birds. He usually brings some football memeribilia, and we have a chat about it. (National Treasure)

Davies, Wyn As a Newcastle supporter I saw every home game and several away while Wyn played for us. He was tremendous to watch always value for money. When we won the Fairs Cup it was, in my opinion, due to the fact that foreign defences had never seen his like before. Wyn terrorised those defences and without him we wouldn't have won it. He gave me many hours of pleasure and I always compare every number 9 to the main man, Wyn.

Davies, Wyn Wyn started his league career with the mighty Wrexham. At Wrexham he was part of the team that beat Harlepool 10 - 1. Wyn scored a hat trick and 2 other players also scored hat tricks. The result remains a Wrexham record to this day.

Davies, Wyn After to signed for Newcastle he used to rush down to the Central Station where he would catch the same train as my dad, sister & myself. The first time we saw him, we rushed to get hos autograph. Sadly, our pen wouldn't work. Wyn took it on himself to ask one of the staff if they had a pen & gave us his autograph complete with a little message. We saw him several times & he would always come over & chat. He was great to watch on the pitch & a gentleman off it!!
