Sean joined Bolton Wanderers in July 2009 on a free transfer, having been the subject of a £3 million bid by the same club, five months earlier, but had been turned down. Retired in 2012 and has since worked as a columnist and co-commentator at his old club Fulham. Converted to Christianity while at Pompey thanks to Linvoy Primus and Faith in Football.
