Biography: Hexham born central defender who came through the ranks at Southampton a reserve team regular who made just 6 appearances before joining Burnley in 1991, where he had previously had a loan spell Retired from playing in 2005 and returned to Burnley as a Scout then 1st team coach and then Assistant Manager under Steve Cotterill who he then replace in a caretaker role. A role he later took again when Cotterills replacement Owen Coyle left. He has since followed Coyle to Bolto Wanderers as 1st team coach
