Biography: Fourth in The Hammers all time list of leading scorers with 153 league goals, has worked as a games teacher at a number of schools around the capital prior to retiring, also ran a successful Sunday morning side. (Scored four goals in The Hammers record 8-0 home win against Rotherham in the 1958 promotion season)

Dick, John I knew John or “Jacko” as we used to call him when he worked at the Oakfield Sports Centre in Fairlop, Essex, teaching football to the kids from schools across the East End. He was a real character with some great stories. He was great with the boys too, a natural teacher.
