Fred Didymus

Position: Centre-forward

Biography: Portsmouth born Didymus played a handful of games for four clubs up until 1912 when he joined Portsmouth Corporation Transport as a tram driver until the outbreak of WW1. While serving with the rank of private, he was killed in France on 12th April 1918, the day before his 32nd birthday, and is buried in Tilloy British Cemetery, Tilloy-lès-Mofflaines in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.
