Ted Ditchburn

Born: 1921

Birthplace: Gillingham

Position: Goalkeeper

Biography: He played well over 400 games for his only club, Tottenham Hotspur, including a spell of 247 consecutive appearances. Played six times for England, retired to Romford, Essex, where he built successful business interests including a Sports Ship which still bears his name, toy and games shop and a printing business. Died on 26th December 2005. (Won successive Second and First Division winners medals with Spurs)

Ditchburn, Ted I used to receive sports shoes, football shirts and Co from a man called Ted Ditchburn in the 1970s. I am writing from Nigeria. The parcels came from the General Post Office after I had written to him earlier

Ditchburn, Ted I am now 67 but remember spending holidays at littestone holiday camp in Kent and meeting Ted his wife and children.these are among my greatest memories of my childhood.
