Biography: Dobson joined Pompey from Blackburn Rovers in September 1993 for a fee of £150,000 and played in midfield, central defence and as Left-back but without ever managing to establish himself as a first team regular. After leaving Fratton Park in 1997, he played for West Bromwich Albion, Gillingham, Northampton Town, and Forest Green Rovers. Began his second spell as manager of Southern League side, Rugby Town in September 2008 but this came to an end when he resigned in October 2009.
