Biography: Midfielder who played five times for England. Became manager at Bury (1984-1989) and Bristol Rovers (1991-2) before taking up a post in Malta. Coached youngsters back in Lancashire prior to his appointment as Manager of Unibond League side, Chorley in 1995. Dobson was appointed manager of Bristol Rovers in July 1991, however he was sacked after only 12 games in charge. In January 2010 he was briefly appointed caretaker manager of former club Burnley. Brian Laws, the new Burnley manager has however kept Dobson on his coaching staff in the short-term as he builds up his backroom staff. Once he has done this, Dobson will return full-time to his role of Director of Youth Development. (Division Two Championship medal with Burnley in 1973)
