Biography: Signed from Essex Schools, he became the understudy to Peter Bonetti after the departure of Errol McNally. Accordingly, he found his chances limited despite being a competent and brave keeper. Dunn left for Torquay United on a free transfer in 1966 and later played for Aston Villa and Charlton. Now lives in Basildon, Essex and works as a PE teacher in Barking Abbey Sports College having worked a various other schools in the area since hanging up his boots.

Dunn, John I remember John well playing for Charlton brilliant keeper. I was on a football tour in Holland and John was at the bar of my hotel spoke to him I was very young then
