Ekner, Daniel Daniel Ekner along with Cliff Parker and Lindy Delapenha are being considered for posthumous Football League Division One Championship winners medal for 1949-50. This follows a change in the rules regarding the number of appearances required to qualify for a medal. In 1950 it was 14 appearances but the new rule is five and all three made five league appearances that season. His son and daughter have been informed.
