Biography: Joined Liverpool straight from school and made his debut in 1970, however, he only made a total of eleven appearances in nine seasons. In 1974 at the age of 25, Roy became reserve team coach - a post at which he excelled earning him promotion to Assistant Manager at the end of the 1992/3 season. Took over as Manager in January 1994, following the departure of Graham Souness. Roy was awarded a CBE in 2005 for services to football. He currently acts as a co-commentator for live audio broadcasts of Liverpool matches on www.liverpoolfc.tv (Played for England Schools)
