Biography: The son of Sir Alex, he came through the ranks at Old Trafford and made half his appearances at the start of the 1992-1993 season as a stand-in for the injured Bryan Robson, but he didn't play enough games to qualify for a Championship medal. He spent two more seasons largely in the reserves before being sold to Wolves for £250,000. Went to Peterborough United as player manager in January 2007 until November 2009, when he left by mutual consent. Has been manager of Preston North End since January 2010.
