Ferns, Phil When I was about 14 I used to go with my stepdad to watch all the home games AFCB were in division 4 then, we would go in the Supporters club afterwards and I would just stare at Phil Ferns I had a major crush on him. In 2006 I did jury service at Bournemouth Magistrates court a Policeman called Phil Ferns was in the witness stand, I wondered if he was the same person?

Ferns, Phil My brother Paul, John Rowlands and I knew Phil when he and we all worked for Dolphin Packaging, in Poole, Dorset.
Phil trained our works football team, we were just a local, lower League Sunday football side. Just a group of lads who liked to have kickabout. Nonetheless, Phil trained us and tried to improve our game both, individually and as a team. He did all this for FREE, bear in mind after this time he went on to play for Yeovil Town. Hence, his time in this field was certainly a considerable fee had he requested/demanded financial reward for his efforts with us.

Thought I should share this info with anyone interested to know of/about him. He's a TOPBAT fella, with a good heart, friendly and very much loves football at all levels.
