Finnieston, Steve When I was about 10 years of age I was at Grange primary school in New Haw Surrey and Steve Finnieston was also at our school and was always playing football as I was. I remember a game where we were 5-0 down when the PE Teacher bought Steve F on and he single-handedly won us the game 7-5. I could see then that he was light years ahead of any of us. Lost touch after that and few years later was watching the big match on TV a Sunday afternoon and I think and he appeared on the screen playing for Chelsea I was not surprised, he was a great player.

Finnieston, Steve I remember playing in a boys final against Meadow Sports. Steve Finnieston played. We lost 5 -0.
What a brilliant player. I followed his career and was so upset when his career was cut short. Brilliant player and a nice man. Thats my claim to fame.

Finnieston, Steve Knew Steve back in the day, living in the Ascot area. Played in to his 40s , Sunday league level. A well grounded guy who always had a good word about my club and one he played for, Sheffield United.
