Charlie Freeman

Position: Inside-forward

Biography: Signed as a professional at the age of 20 but had to wait two years for his league debut against Sunderland at Roker Park, but was never classed as a first choice player and missed out on selection for the 1915 FA Cup Final, but his career at the club spanned both world wars. He returned to the club in 1923 as an odd job man and then became first team trainer during the Second World War and then grounds-man before retiring in 1953. He died in Fulham in March 1956.
