Biography: Signed from Luton Town in 1948 Horace Gager quickly established himself as a commanding figure at the heart of Forest's defence being appointed club captain in 1951. He went on to play senior football until he was 37, retiring in 1955. He played in an FA representative X1 and many consider him unlucky not have been awarded full international caps.
