Biography: A traditional centre-forward who impressed Dave Sexton enough that he paid £100,000 for him. He was dogged by injuries throughout his career but his scoring record was sufficiently impressive to attract the interest of England boss Don Revie when he named an enormous 84 man squad of players good enough to play international football, he never won a cap however. Bill became a school teacher and has run coaching courses for kids during the holidays and coached at Southend's Centre of Excellence.
