Biography: Played over 400 games for Birmingham and was a part of the England squad for the 1954 World Cup Finals, ran a sub-post office in Handsworth, Birmingham before his death in Sutton Coldfield in June 2001 aged 77.

Green, Ken I have fond memories of this Birmingham footballer, mainly for the reason that my mother named me after him when I was born in 1951. I now live in South Africa and have done since 1981, but originally from Acocks Green (where my mother still lives - aged 90), I still follow the Blues with great envy. By coincidence, I also have a brother 'Colin' whose namesake also played for Birmingham City. Fond memories indeed!! Keep Right on to the end of the road. Regards, Ken Green
