Haffey, Frank For weeks after Englands demolition of the Scots at Wembley that sad day, people, Rangers fans mainly, would reply if asked the time.."9 past Haffy" and fall about laughing..!

Haffey, Frank I used to deliver Frank’s daily newspaper in 1962/63 when he lived in Glasgow! I caught up with him in Sydney in about 1970. He felt sorry for me and gave me a suit!

Haffey, Frank Sydney City in 1982 saw Frank as the goalkeepers coach. This is in the days that Eddie Thomson was the first team coach as well as the coach of our National team. Frank was always a very funny guy. He took the youth team at training one particular evening at ES Mark's field and during our session we had to do push-ups... Frank counted for us. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, Wembley, 9,10...he also rambled about some character called Hern Bruin... A great guy, funny as buggery, a true gentleman.

Haffey, Frank I can remember Frank clowning about in the dressing room before a youth game I played in, he was acting like a monkey. I took his place in goal in the reserves when he had a bad injury. He had just received treatment.
