Biography: An England U21 defender with 11 caps signed by Chris Nicholl in 1991, was a regular in the heart of a Saints team fighting for Premier League survival, he moved onto West Ham for a Tribunal set fee of £1.4 million, but a foot injury ended his playing career aged 27 after just seven league appearances for Harry Redknapps team. He later returned to home town club Ipswich as reserve team coach. In 2009 joined Colchester United as U14's-U21's Development Coach.
