Biography: Known as the 'Mighty Atom', because of his 5ft 4in frame and size two boots. Worked at a local iron foundry in his home town, Oakengates before retiring in 1979. Died in 1994 aged 75. (League Championship medal in 1954)

Hancocks, Johnny Hi just seen his football boots in Carisbrooke Castle. They look brand new. My dad, who has now passed on, said what a good player he was and I will take his word for it as he knew a good player when he saw one!
