Hannah, George Yes I have a memory of George. A few of us following Notts County caught a bus to Chesterfield on a foggy week day evening and getting off the bus proceeded towards Saltergate (Chesterfield’s ground) This guy tapped us on the shoulder and asked if we knew the way to Saltergate. It was George Hannah with his boots hooked into his right hands. He must have caught a bus as a lot of players did in those days. So he walked with us chatting about football etc. A lot different from the precious lot today.
