Biography: Chopper was undoubtedly one of the sternest tests for any forward during the sixties and seventies. Ron brought Bramhill golf course in Wiltshire for £400,000 and is reputed to have sold it in 1989 for £2 million to Golf pro Roger Mace and ex-Doncaster Rovers and Aldershot Goalkeeper - Glen Johnson !! Then bought a holiday chalet and fishing complex in a picturesque setting in a village near Warminster, Wiltshire, is now in demand as a media pundit and after dinner speaker. (FA cup winner in 1970 with Chelsea)

Harris, Ron I was a pupil at Craven Park Primary school in the sixties. Ron would come down to our football sessions in Springfield park every week and join in. Here we had a football hero who was happy to help out at a kids kick about every week. An incredible man.

Harris, Ron We played against each other when I played for Stockport boys and Captained London Boys at Edgeley Park on New Year's Day it would be 1959 I think.
