Heighway, Steve I had a pair of white upper black moulded stud sole plastic signed SH footy boots for my 9th birthday. I kind of liked them but I was a Spurs fan.

Heighway, Steve Steve played in my back garden in the early 70s. A giant clock fell over and broke his back. That was in his Subbuteo days.

Heighway, Steve I was 10 year's of age when Liverpool won the F.A. cup in 1974 , it was a big occasion back then,I was very proud that Steve Heighway was from close to where I lived and that he was Irish, in an interview he said his goal got lost between Kevin Keegan's, but really it was the winning goal and meant there was no way back for Newcastle. He is not in the top Irish best player's of all time which I can't understand because he was the most skillful player of a team that won so many trophies in England and Europe.

Heighway, Steve I always loved and thought Steve Heighway was a great footballer. I remember when Ireland were playing in Lansdowne Road in the early seventies. I worked in a office in Dublin and the Irish team were walking down Henry Street . I spotted Steve and we rolled down the window and called his name , He stopped and waved up to us and said hello. We were all delighted and could harldly work for the rest of the day. Can you imagine the present footballers doing that , no they would have their bodyguards around .

Heighway, Steve Steve was a great friend of my late brother Jeff. It was Jeff who was the chairman of Steve's Testimonial Commitee. If I am not mistaken he attened Jeff's funeral in 2006.
