Hemstead, Derek My Dad took me to see Carlisle play Chelsea in the 1971 League Cup and unbelievably Carlisle won the game 1-0. This was the Chelsea of Osgood, Cook, Harris, Hutchinson, Webb, Hollins and Bonetti who were FA Cup holders at the time and on their way to winning the Cup Winners Cup that year. Derek scored the goal with a low drive from inside the area - a rare goal from a great full back.

Hemstead, Derek Derek was really under-rated, great full back
