Henderson, John (Jackie) My father was a vehicle bodybuilder with Sparshatts in the fifties and Jackie henderson was one of his apprentices, Jack Sparshatt was really strict and would never allow Jackie time off when he had a game, He would even make him work to 5.30 when they had an evening game. Sparshatt to a dislike to the young cocky Henderson and made life at the club really hard for him. As a player he never really reached his peak untill he left Pompey.
