Biography: Woolston born member of the 1976 FA Cup winning side, effective at Left-back or midfield spent 18 years at Saints was third in the all time appearances (543 games scoring 64 goals in all). Retired from playing in 1987 due to a pelvic injury. He took on the role of a village shopkeeper in Winterslow, Wiltshire, he then moved to Florida and set up a property management company which he sold in 2004, went onto manage Salisbury City for eight years, he left the role in 2010 when the club hit financial trouble. He was linked with the Southampton manager job when George Burley left the club
